Board authorizes submission for November 2025 bond referendum and approves commercial lease

The Minnewaska Area Schools Board voted to authorize the superintendent to submit required information to the Commissioner of Education to request Review and Comment for acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities for a November 2025 election. The motion notes that any project would be financed through the issuance of School Building Bonds if approved by district voters.
At the same meeting the board approved a commercial lease agreement with Central Square and approved policies and handbooks as presented. The bond authorization, lease and policy approvals were carried by roll-call vote with all five members present voting in favor.
