The board thanked the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties for a $10,000 grant to support preschool scholarships for families in need.
"We are honored to be selected as a recipient and grateful for your commitment to supporting our school and community," the minutes said in thanking the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and Glenwood State Bank for a Member Impact Fund grant that the board said will help sustain reliable child care. District officials described both awards as supporting access to Little Laker Preschool and strengthening workforce stability by supporting child care options for families.
