Board approves consent calendar with summer hires, records resignations and retirements
Summary

The Minnewaska Area Schools Board approved a consent calendar on June 16 that included numerous seasonal hires across summer recreation and child care programs, appointment of a Junior High Soccer coach and an approved list of 2025–2026 coaches and advisors. The minutes list many named hires for summer programs and childcare roles.
The board also recorded multiple resignations (including Amy Gilmore, Paraprofessional; Mary Walsh, Homecoming Advisor) and accepted retirements effective June 30 for secondary teachers Ted Hill and Mike Troen. Separately, the board voted to table the proposed FY2026 contract with Spark 27 Creative until the July regular board meeting. All personnel and consent items passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
