The Independent School District 279 School Board approved a broad consent agenda on May 19 that included minutes, financial reports, personnel actions, vendor contracts and several grant awards.
The motion to approve the printed consent package was made by Thomas Brooks and seconded by Kelsey Dawson and carried on a 6 to 0 vote. Notable items approved included acceptance of the 2025–2026 Implementation, Enhancement, and Expansion of Medicaid & CHIP School‑Based Services Grant in the amount of $25,000; the 2025–2026 Southeast Asian Partnership Grant for $3,500; a 2025–2026 Concurrent Enrollment – Intro to Teaching Grant of $27,169; and an amended Perkins Grant of $12,304. The board also approved contracts and purchase awards to vendors including Innovative Office Solutions, CDW Government, Minnesota Roadways Company, Trio Supply Company, and IFD Foodservice Distributor.
Board members did not take separate roll-call votes on individual consent items during the meeting; the single motion and vote applied to the entire consent agenda.
