Policy Committee sends proposed Policy 104 back to committee after board amendment motion
Summary
After first readings of several policies aimed at alignment with MSBA model language, the Board voted 6–1 to send Policy 104 back to the committee for redrafting after Director Holmes proposed an amendment to section IV.

During discussion, Director Holmes moved to amend the language of Policy 104, section IV. Director ReNae Bowman then moved to send the policy back to committee to determine recommended language. Voting in favor of returning the policy were Directors Bassett, Bowman, Evans-Becker, Hillenbrand, Long and Wutoh; Director Holmes voted against. "Motion prevailed with a 6-1 vote," the minutes record.
The minutes list the policies considered for first reading (101, 101.1, 102, 103, 104) and state the intent to bring second-readings or action at the June 3 Business Meeting for most items; Policy 104 will return to the committee for further drafting.
