Students who participated in the HBCU Research Experience presented highlights from their trip to the Board on May 19.
"The students shared their highlights from the trip to Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia - and how they were impacted by the trip and the course," the minutes record. Assistant Director Tony Patterson explained the application process for the course and trip; students Richard Baysay Jr., Rose Vang-Lohnes, Alex Horne and Ikhlas Mohamed each reported on what they learned and how the experience influenced their thinking about college.
