The Southwest Public Schools board approved several routine financial and administrative items on Jan. 12. The board moved to appoint Stockmen’s Bank and Adams Bank & Trust as official depositories and to designate The Valley Voice as the district’s official news publication; both motions passed unanimously. The board also approved claims as presented and authorized board officers to sign checks for the district's listed funds (General Fund, Special Building Fund, Depreciation Fund, Employee Benefit Fund, Activity Fund, Qualified Capital Fund, Student Fee Fund and School Nutrition Fund).
These administrative actions were recorded with the vote Ayes: Brooks, Teter, Meyers, Neseth and O’Dea; Nays: None; Absent: McConville. The meeting minutes do not include a ledger or itemized claims list; for details about specific claims or fund balances the treasurer's report and district finance office should be consulted.
