The Treynor Community School District board approved a motion directing administration to seek a modified supplemental amount from the School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) for increased certified enrollment totaling $121,417.
Speaker 2 explained that the district's application seeks only additional spending authority tied to certified enrollment growth and does not represent immediate grant funding. “Now keep in mind, that's not any money. We're just asking for the spending authority,” speaker 2 said as he explained the SBRC process. After a motion and second, the board voted to approve the submission and the motion passed.
The board briefly discussed procedural context for new members and noted that different actions would apply if the district experienced a decline in enrollment. Administration said this is a routine annual request tied to enrollment adjustments.
