The Pequot Lakes School Board adopted an amendment to a January 6, 2025 special-election resolution that changes the absentee voting location to the Crow Wing County Elections Office at the Historic Courthouse, 326 Laurel Street in Brainerd. The minutes cite Minnesota Statute 203B.081 and instruct the clerk to provide the location and office hours to the Minnesota Office of the Secretary of State, Elections Division and to post that information on the district website through 8:00 p.m. on election day.
The amendment also includes a county-authorization clause: "The District obligations described in the Original Resolution and herein may be undertaken by the County acting on the District's behalf, and the Board hereby authorizes the County to undertake such obligations when necessary, appropriate, and desirable." The minutes record the motion, the same six members voting in favor and none against, and the amendment was declared passed.
The change relocates absentee voting from the previously stated District Office (30805 Olson Street) to the county elections office; the clerk is directed to provide statutory notices and posting. The minutes do not identify a named mover or seconder for the amendment.
