Plumsted Township Committee approves resolution to hold executive session on personnel

The Plumsted Township Committee on July 15, 2026, approved Resolution No. 2026-208 authorizing the committee to convene an executive session to discuss personnel matters and then adjourned. No members of the public spoke during the meeting's public-comment period.

A meeting statement read, "This meeting is being held in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act." The committee noted that notice of the meeting was published in the Asbury Park Press and the Trenton Times and posted on the municipal bulletin board. Municipal Clerk Jennifer Witham recorded that Committeeman Bowen, Committeeman D'Amico, Committeeman Hammerstone, Deputy Mayor Potter and Mayor Hagelstein were present for the session.

Deputy Mayor Potter moved to close the public-comment period; Committeeman Bowen seconded the motion, which the committee approved on a roll call of all ayes. On a subsequent motion by Committeeman Bowen, seconded by Deputy Mayor Potter, the committee approved Resolution No. 2026-208 "authorizing the convening of an executive session in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act" to discuss personnel. The recorded roll call on the resolution was unanimous in favor.

The committee returned from the executive session and, on motion of Committeeman D'Amico, seconded by Committeeman Hammerstone, the meeting was adjourned with all ayes.
