District staff recommend $219,548 amendment for West Lake Tahoe treatment plant construction support

Sara Houssang Johnson, the district's director of engineering, told the committee she was recommending approval of Amendment No. 6 to the professional services agreement with Kennedy Jenks for ongoing construction support work at the West Lake Tahoe Regional Water Treatment Plant. "The amendment amount is in is the amount of $219,548," she said, and explained the extra budget covers extended engineering services and facility start-up testing after the project’s construction schedule slipped.

Johnson said the previous amendment had anticipated a February 2025 completion date but additional commissioning and acceptance with the state Division of Drinking Water extended the work.
