Rush City board adopts multiple policy revisions and new policy adoptions
Summary
At the June 26 meeting the board conducted readings and adopted a broad set of policy updates, including revisions to open meetings, public hearings, ethics, Title IX and information security policy (Policy 731).
The board conducted a first reading of Policy 205 (Open Meetings and Closed Meetings) and second readings for a set of policies including 207 (Public Hearings), 209 (Code of Ethics), 210 (Conflict of Interest), and several student- and personnel-related policies. The board then moved to adopt a package of policies presented under the 'Policy Adoption' heading; the motion to approve the policies was made by Rory Roth and seconded by Kevin Haugrud and carried 5-0.
As part of this agenda the board rescinded Policy 804 (Information Security) because it was merged into new Policy 731 (Information Security). The minutes list many policy numbers and identify them as either first reading, second reading or adoption; the minutes do not include the full text of each policy revision in the body of the minutes.
