Rush City board approves proposed FY26 budget after unanimous vote

The Rush City Public School District board voted 5-0 June 26 to approve the proposed FY26 budget and to adopt the FY25 revised budget, following standard budget-reporting and Q-Comp updates.
The Independent School District #139 board approved the proposed FY26 budget at its June 26, 2025 regular meeting. The motion to approve the proposed FY26 budget was made by Rory Roth and seconded by Ken Lind; the motion carried 5-0.
Board members were presented a budget report and related financial materials during the meeting. The board also approved a FY25 revised budget in the same session. Earlier in the meeting the board approved an obligations register totaling $1,399,084.05 as part of consent business. The meeting packet included routine financial materials and an update on investments and the Q-Comp annual report, which the board also approved (motion by Lind, seconded by Roth).
