Staff presented the district’s draft 2026 parks capital plan, listing a set of projects carried forward from prior years and several new or advanced efforts.
“We will be completing and closing out construction of the Westshore Trail rehabilitation project, segments 2 and 3,” Sarah said, and noted design work continues for segment 1 (referred to in the packet as the Diane Feinstein project). Staff also described retaining‑wall evaluations for the Truffy River corridor and adjacent Bells Landing wall, ongoing coordination with Placer County on downtown access and parking, and conditional timing for the Lake Forest boat ramp dredge tied to water levels.
Staff said the plan includes recurring operational improvements at the golf course (drainage, tee boxes and other items), and that a Kilner Park parking‑lot ADA/safety planning contract is underway. Several projects were removed from the 2026 list pending outside partnerships or feasibility work (interpretive signage work was handed to the Lake Tahoe Historical Society; TCCC EV charging and a small remodel were deferred while the board evaluates the community‑center feasibility work).
Staff requested feedback and said the items will come back for fuller board review during fall budget workshops.
