WEM board approves contracts, MOU and special education services for FY2026

During its Aug. 25 meeting, the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown School Board approved several contracts and agreements. Motions approved included a bread contract; a memorandum of understanding between ISD#2143 and the WEM Education Association Local #7181; a partnership agreement with Owatonna Public Schools for online education; and a special education agreement with South Central Service Cooperative for vision, audiology, and orientation and mobility services for Fiscal Year 2026.
A motion to approve proposed activity worker pay passed with two abstentions. The board also formally set an Oct. 14 meeting to discuss the Morristown building sale. Most motions passed with recorded tallies indicating majority support.
