WEM board approves four policies and holds first readings on several others

On Aug. 25 the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown School Board approved four district policies: 209 (Code of Ethics), 421 (Gifts to Employees and School Board Members), 533 (Wellness) and 903 (Visitors to School District Buildings and Sites). The approvals were made on a motion by Jon Bakken, seconded by Troy Tolzman.
Board members also conducted first readings of policies 502 (Search of Students Lockers, Desks, Personal Possessions, and Student’s Person), 506 (Student Discipline), 722 (Public Data and Data Subject Requests) and 806 (Crisis Management). Those items were informational and will return for future action.
