The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown School Board on Aug. 25 accepted the resignation of Jennifer Wilson from her roles as K–4 and 9–12 principal, effective Aug. 22. The resignation was recorded as part of the consent agenda that the board approved on a motion by Jon Bakken, seconded by Jay Schneider.
The board approved hiring Brandon Tagg as the district's high school principal at an annual salary of $101,000. Superintendent Mark Winter commented on the hire and thanked Dr. Wilson for her service. Visitors during the meeting raised questions about the future of the Morristown building; the board later set a meeting date of Tuesday, Oct. 14, to discuss a potential sale of the Morristown building.
