The Mendota Unified School District Board of Trustees on April 9 approved several personnel actions, including hiring Cole Seese as an automotive teacher at Mendota High School contingent on receiving a Preliminary Transportation CTE Credential. Trustee Sergio Valdez moved the action and Trustee Jose C. Zavala seconded; the grouped action items passed on the recorded roll call (vote recorded as part of action-items approvals).
The board also approved the hiring of Julian Mayorga Diaz as a 7.5-hour/10-month campus monitor at Washington Elementary and the promotion of Julie Castro from a 6-hour instructional aide to a 6-hour instructional aide–caregiver at Mendota High School, contingent on filling her prior position. The actions were recommended by interview panels and site principals and were recorded in the board’s action-item approvals for April 9, 2025.
