The Orchard View Schools Board of Education voted to approve A-91 to Buck Construction in the amount of $258,113 for a secured entry at OVEE. The motion, moved by L. Nelson and supported by C. Bankhead, passed 6-0 on a roll call vote.
Facilities presenter Earl Schaub said the project would reroute the sidewalk to lead directly to the office and relocate the principal and assistant principal offices; he said the work would be finished prior to the start of school in the fall. The board recorded the contract award and authorized staff to proceed with the project.
The approved amount on the motion was $258,113 and the project is intended to improve secured access at OVEE before the next school year.
