Board adopts changes to agenda-selection and consolidates plant operations and safety committees
Summary
The board approved edits clarifying how items are agendized (allowing a member with a second to force an item onto the next meeting) and consolidated the plant operations and safety committees into a single 'plant operations and safety' committee.

The board voted to adopt two changes to the draft governance guidelines: an appeal mechanism to get items onto future agendas when the president declines them, and consolidation of the plant operations and safety committees into a single standing committee.
As the president explained, "If I say no... If they can get a 2nd, they can get another board member on, then it becomes an agenda item." The motion was moved and seconded and carried with affirmative votes from present board members. Christina Arringerne asked that committee descriptions better specify how often standing committees will meet; the board took that suggestion under advisement.
