The Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 board unanimously accepted two certified teacher resignations and approved a new certified hire during its regular meeting on May 12.
Superintendent Aaron Duff presented the resignations of Ashley May, a teacher at Central Middle School, and Rebecca Hair, a teacher at Gib Olinger Elementary. Tim McElrath moved to accept the resignations; Tina Kain seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Duff then presented a recommended hire: Hannah Hair for the CTE Agriculture Science position at McLoughlin High School. Don Miller moved to approve the new certified hire; Duane Geyer seconded. The board voted unanimously to approve the hire.
The board recorded the votes in open session; no board member asked follow-up questions on either personnel item. The actions were recorded as routine personnel business and will be reflected in district staffing records.
