At the April 14 meeting the Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 board approved several substantive administrative items. The board adopted the parent/student calendars for 2025–26 and 2026–27 following a motion by Kathy Silva that was seconded by Tim McElrath. The board also adopted updated policy AC — Nondiscrimination & Civil Rights and AC-AR (I) — Discrimination or Civil Rights Complaint Procedure after a second reading; Tim McElrath moved adoption and Don Miller seconded.
Ami Muilenburg presented the district’s 2025–2027 Integrated Plan update; the board approved the plan by unanimous vote on a motion from Kathy Silva. Superintendent Aaron Duff also presented a procurement item: a 2025 Ford Expedition XL Max 4x4 priced at $57,279.46. Tim McElrath moved to approve the vehicle purchase, Kelly Kessler seconded, and the board approved the expenditure unanimously. The minutes record the vehicle as “2025 Ford KIG Expedition XL MAX 4 X 4 - $57,279.46.”
These approvals advance district planning and operations ahead of summer projects and the upcoming budget hearings.
