The Klamath County School District Board of Directors on June 12 adopted Resolution 25-05, approving the district's 2025-26 budget, making appropriations and imposing and categorizing taxes for the coming fiscal year. The motion to adopt the resolution passed unanimously after a roll call vote recorded as 5-0.
"I move we adopt Resolution 25-05 as presented," said Jill O'Donnell during the action item, a motion seconded by Brooke Kliewer and recorded as approved. Director of Business Services Janet Melsness had presented the resolution and the accompanying financial materials earlier in the meeting as part of the board packet.
Board members did not record any dissent during the vote. The resolution and underlying budget documents were attached to the board packet and are available through the district for review. No additional amendments to the resolution were recorded during the meeting.
The board's adoption of Resolution 25-05 completes the district's formal budget process for FY 2025-26 and imposes the tax rates necessary to fund the appropriations included in the approved budget. The motion was made, seconded and approved in open session; no executive session was required for the resolution itself.
