The Phoenix-Talent School Board appointed David Sherman to a three-year term on the district Budget Committee and reappointed Roland Kretschmann to another three-year term during its Jan. 8 meeting.
Chair Michael Campbell moved the agenda to hear Budget Committee interviews early in the meeting. After Mr. Sherman introduced his background in business and work with the SMART program at Phoenix Elementary School, Director Rick Nagel moved to appoint him. "I move to appoint David Sherman to a 3-year term on the Budget Committee," the motion was recorded as made by Rick Nagel and seconded by Polly Farrimond. The board voted unanimously to approve the appointment.
