Family Academy reports 23 enrolled as district builds home-school option

Hawthorne emphasized the Academy is intended to supplement local educational offerings rather than remove students from district buildings. Superintendent Aaron Miller and Hawthorne both noted the program is still evolving and that the board will be asked in November to review and approve instructional materials to ensure Division 22 compliance.
