Business Manager Tara Garratt reported an ending fund balance of $2.5 million during the Aug. 18 Port Orford-Langlois School Board meeting, exceeding the estimate of $1.5 million included in board materials.
Board member Carol Hacherl asked whether appropriations should be shown in the report after learning about that practice at an OSBA session. Tara told the board that appropriations are built into the general fund report and offered to incorporate additional templates if members want those details. Superintendent Aaron Miller told the board he is confident in the $2.5 million figure as reported.
