Mendota Unified Board approves consent calendar, summer academy agreement and multiple fundraisers

The motion to approve the consent calendar was made by Trustee Sergio Valdez and seconded by Trustee Alma Durazo; the roll call vote was 7‑0.
The consent calendar also included revised Single Plans for Student Achievement (SPSA) for Mendota Elementary, Mendota Junior High, Mendota High School and Mendota Continuation High School; approval of spirit‑gear and alumni game fundraisers for Mendota High School baseball programs; warrants for several disbursement ranges; and an added item (8.8) authorizing the girls softball team to sell Pizza Factory cards to raise funds for personalized team gear. These approvals allow scheduled student activities and grant the superintendent authority to implement the routine programs and fundraisers approved by the Board.
