Seaside Middle School staff present academic progress and extracurricular highlights

Middle school staff presented an academic progress report to the board Jan. 21 covering assessment results, programming and staffing initiatives.
Wendy Crozier, Karolina Gage and Shelby Gagnon described winter STAR benchmarking, planning for upcoming state tests and several student activities including a multi-cultural event planned for April 30. Crozier noted class-level activities such as swim lessons (paid by the PTO) and Sitka Art program activities.
Administrators also highlighted Ninth Grade Success work and recognized staff members for their involvement. Board members thanked presenters and acknowledged ongoing instructional planning tied to ODE reporting and professional development.
