Board approves consent agenda including several hires and one resignation

The board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from June 4, 2025; hires of Christopher Lofton (Assistant Middle School Principal), Susan Yates (math teacher), Kylie Farmer (middle school band teacher), Kamaryn Schneider (art teacher); and accepted the resignation of Kimberly Whetzel.
During the consent portion of the July 14 meeting the board approved routine personnel and administrative items by a single motion. Approved items included the June 4, 2025 board minutes and several staff employment actions: Christopher Lofton as Assistant Middle School Principal at Coffenberry Middle School; Susan Yates as a math teacher at South Umpqua High School; Kylie Farmer as middle school band teacher; and Kamaryn Schneider as art teacher at SUHS. The board also accepted the resignation of Kimberly Whetzel, an elementary teacher at TCE.
The consent agenda motion was made by Randy Richardson, seconded by Jeff Johnson, and carried unanimously with one member absent. There was no separate discussion recorded for the individual hires.
