At the July 14 board meeting Superintendent Erika Bare presented the district's enrollment report: total enrollment is 1,359 students with school-level counts of Canyonville 190, Coffenberry 264, South Umpqua High School 400, MCE 256 and TCE 249. The numbers provide the baseline for staffing and budget planning in the coming year.
Bare also updated the board on summer school: more than 100 students signed up, staffing is in place, and programming will begin the second week in August at MCE. The district will provide updates as summer school starts and assess participation for future planning.
