Mendota Unified awards district office construction contract to BMY Construction

The Mendota Unified School District board voted to award the Mendota District Office/Staff Development Center construction contract to BMY Construction Group, Inc., approving both the selection of the lowest bidder and a construction agreement for the project.
Dr. Lopez thanked the board for approving the BMY bid for the new District Office and noted related capital work: Mendota High School locker-room and cafeteria expansion and a delayed flooring issue in the McCabe music room. The construction award was part of the consent calendar that passed 6-0 with Trustee José C. Zavala absent.
Board materials list BMY Construction Group, Inc. as the lowest bidder and include an approved construction agreement to proceed with the district office/staff development center. The superintendent said a walkthrough for Mendota Elementary additions is scheduled and that some project elements remain delayed by site issues such as flooring.
