John Sexauer elected board president; Roxanne Rosales named clerk

The Merced River School District board held its organizational election during the Dec. 8, 2025 meeting. Stephanie Sexauer nominated John Sexauer for board president; the nomination was seconded by Roxanne Rosales and the motion carried unanimously, after which John Sexauer was installed as president.
The board then nominated and approved Roxanne Rosales as clerk (nominated by John Sexauer and seconded by Stephanie Sexauer). The board also appointed Superintendent Richard Lopez to serve as Secretary to the Board per the agenda language. No public comments were made during the organizational portion of the meeting.
