The Merced River Union Elementary School District board reported that it voted to amend the superintendent’s 2025–2026 base salary to $310,010.83, retroactive to July 1, 2025. The board’s report, given when the meeting reconvened from closed session, recorded the outcome as a 4–0 vote with one absentee.
The report states the amended 2025–26 base will be used to calculate the superintendent’s 2026–27 salary and describes how annual increases will be applied: a step-in-column increase of 1.2 percent, a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to be determined, an annual Satisfactory Performance increase of 3 percent, and a Master’s degree compensation of 3.25 percent. The report also states there were no other changes to the superintendent’s contract.
