Stanton outlines Sector Strategies, regional talent pipelines and training grants

"Why don't we have a supply chain, a talent pipeline?" she asked rhetorically as she explained the approach to convene K–12, technical colleges, commerce and employers in four geographic regions.
The strategy aims to target sectors (diversified manufacturing, health care, IT, construction, transportation/logistics) and to use data analytics to identify high-growth positions and regional gaps. Stanton said the state is coordinating with the Commission on Higher Education and technical colleges, and that the State Workforce Development Board is funding employer-aligned grants and apprenticeships.
