Council adopts emergency ordinance to accept transfer of 107 N. Taylor Ave

City Manager Ashlee Coronado explained that when the ordinance was first read there was no identified buyer; subsequent identification of a buyer prompted the city to use the emergency declaration to expedite the transfer rather than wait the standard thirty-day period. "A buyer had since been identified and was eager to proceed, making it appropriate to move forward without waiting the standard thirty-day period," Coronado said.
Councilmember Trish Damon moved to approve the ordinance and the motion passed on a roll-call vote with six ayes and zero nays. The Council did not record any amendments to the ordinance in the meeting transcript. The ordinance will be processed per standard city procedures for property transfers.
