The Spearman I.S.D. Board of Trustees met Oct. 13 in the high school library and approved its consent agenda by a 7-0 vote. The consent items included approval of minutes from Sept. 8 and Sept. 15, ratification of bills, year-to-date tax revenue and budget compilations, the district financial report, and acceptance of several gifts to athletics and FFA. Accepted donations included Anchor D Bank ($100), Spearman Lynx Boosters ($6,625), Brown, Graham & Co. P.C. ($2,000), and Zoetis ($230.43).
The board also approved Student Transfer List E for the 2025–2026 school year, again by a 7-0 roll-call vote. Superintendent James Layman presented multiple informational items, including enrollment figures, a high-school picture retake date of Oct. 22, PEIMS ADA reporting for the first six weeks, and updates related to the district's 2025 bond propositions. Board President Dustin Mackie called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; the board adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
