The Barre Town Board voted to set a public hearing on Dec. 10, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. at Barre Town Hall for proposed water storage and pump station improvements near Pine Hill Road and Pasque Road. The agenda description notes the project would include a 250,000‑gallon elevated water storage tank, associated site work, grading, driveways, and a new pump to transfer water and upgrades to the existing pump station.
John read the project description during the meeting, noting that the project was classified as a Type I action for the purposes of review and that the hearing will give residents an opportunity to comment on scope and potential impacts. "The town board of the Town of Barre hereby resolves to hold a public hearing on 12/10/2025 at 06:45PM at Barre Town Hall for the proposed action," he said.
The board directed staff to publish hearing notice in the local paper and to provide project documents in advance of the hearing. The hearing is the next formal step before any final approvals or contract awards for the tank and pump station work.
