Mayor Adam MacNeill reported on discussions with professionals and property owner Peter Bedevian regarding a partially collapsed retaining wall. According to the minutes, Philco said it "can temporarily brace the sections of the wall that haven’t collapsed" and would supply an estimate; the Village asked Bedevian to decide by the coming Monday.
Officials discussed rent receivership as one financing approach—allowing the Village to stabilize the wall and then charge Bedevian—and noted that if the Village pays directly for the work, prevailing wage rules could add about 35% to the cost. The sewer will be scoped, and MKW indicated it would like to attend the July 9 caucus to present a park design.
