Village hears presentation on three new employee medical plans; resolution will be required to implement

An insurance broker described three additional medical plan options for Village employees, detailed deductibles and savings, and indicated staff meetings would be scheduled. Frank Covelli of World Insurance presented three proposed additional medical plans to the board and described the differences in deductibles and estimated savings to employees and the Village. Covelli told commissioners he would set up meetings with employees to explain the new plan options.
"A Resolution will need to be adopted to authorize the implementation of the 3 additional plans and well as a resolution to implement a Health Care Spending Account and the amount the Village would be contributing," the meeting minutes state. The board discussed scheduling follow-up and indicated formal adoption would require a future resolution and likely staff-level implementation steps.
