A committee member announced the committee had recently secured a grant to fund a vulnerability assessment focused on stormwater and flooding. "There's pretty big grant that we just secured for, vulnerability assessment. It's huge. It's gonna help us really understand what's going on with all kinds of, you know, stormwater type things and flooding and all that," the staff member said.
Members agreed the assessment could open doors to additional grant funding and help prioritize infrastructure work, including sea‑level and flood‑barrier considerations. The committee asked staff to use the assessment findings to refine grant applications and to identify priority projects for mitigation and adaptation.
