Board members at a July 21 Tarkington ISD budget workshop said they were interested in studying a change to the auxiliary staff payroll schedule and asked administrators to evaluate implications. "The Board expressed a strong interest in exploring the feasibility of transitioning auxiliary staff from a once-per-month payroll schedule to a twice-per-month pay cycle and requested administration to evaluate what this change would entail," the minutes state.
Trustees did not take formal action at the workshop; rather they directed administration to examine operational steps and any fiscal impact of a different payroll cadence for auxiliary personnel. The matter will return to the board when administration provides the feasibility analysis; no vote or policy change occurred during the July 21 session.
