Howland Library director highlights passport services, upcoming community design session

Jillian Robertson Murphy, director of the Howland Library, updated the council on library services and community outreach, saying the library’s passport acceptance work has generated more than $15,000 in revenue since the service began. "This so far since we started, we're over $15,000 that we're able to bring in through doing a great service that we would probably do anyway," Murphy said, noting the program brings more people into the library and supports other services.
Murphy invited councilors and residents to a May 27 "We Heard You" session at 6:30 p.m. where the architect will present how community feedback informed a draft plan for the library building. She said more than 50 people have submitted input forms and urged residents to sign up because space is limited.
