The MC introduced members of the Laredo Independent School District Board of Trustees and district leadership during the opening of the convocation. The program named the board president and vice president and listed assistant superintendents for curriculum and for operations support among others.
During the introductions the MC identified several district leaders by name, including Meggie Martinez (assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and assessment), Angel Velasquez (assistant superintendent for plant, opportunities and support services) and Diego Rodriguez (assistant superintendent for student services). The introductions were presented as ceremonial recognition; no board business or votes were taken at that time.
The convocation program also acknowledged district staff across departments, calling out finance, HR, transportation, maintenance, cafeteria staff and campus safety. These acknowledgements were framed as public appreciation rather than administrative action.
