LAREDO ISD staff used a back-to-school announcement to press drivers and parents for caution near campus pickup and drop-off points.
“Please slow down at all the crosswalks. Look at our crossing guards and our kids walking across the streets. Drive slow, obey all the signs,” Staff member (SEG 002) said, opening the reminders. A later speaker specifically addressed parents: “When you come to campus to drop off your children or to pick them up, please be careful as you drive through Loma Sel Sur,” Staff member (SEG 014) said.
Speakers warned that the start of the school year increases pedestrian traffic and asked drivers to respect school-zone rules to reduce risk during arrival and dismissal times.
