The Lighthouse Point City Commission voted unanimously Jan. 28 to adopt a resolution appointing Nicole Davidson as the city clerk effective immediately.
City administrator Mike Licata introduced the appointment, saying the commission had the candidate's resume and a resolution before them and recommending confirmation. "We're requesting that the city commission adopt a resolution confirming the appointment of Nicole Davidson as our city clerk effective immediately," Licata said. Commissioners praised Davidson's responsiveness and record as interim clerk during discussion before the vote. A motion to approve was made, seconded and carried 5-0.
Commissioners noted Davidson's role as liaison to the economic development and marine advisory committees and her work as interim clerk and human-resources liaison. The commission asked staff to take the official steps to implement the appointment. The resolution adopted is listed on the agenda packet under the appointment item.
