Council moved and adopted the Consent Agenda on April 14 (motion by Council President James; second Fitzpatrick). The grouped resolutions included personnel and administrative items: appointing an electrical sub-code official (Res. No. 68), authorizing a sewer credit for 833 Lincoln Avenue (Res. No. 69), refunding an overnight parking permit application fee (Res. No. 70), awarding a backyard chicken license (Res. No. 71), requesting permission for a Dedication by Rider for a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Trust Fund required by "N.J.S.A. 40A:4-39" (Res. No. 72), and appointing Christine Ware to the DEI Committee (Res. No. 73). The Consent Agenda also authorized a closed meeting and waived certain permit fees for Pitman United Methodist Church (Res. Nos. 74 and 75).
Roll call recorded unanimous approval for the consent items except Councilman Uyehara, who "abstained [on] Resolution No. 75," with the remainder carried. Mayor Razze then administered the oath of office to Christine Ware, who was present. The Resolutions were enacted without separate debate as a single consent motion, per council practice for routine matters.
