At its June 8 meeting the Mayor and Borough Council authorized a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Borough-owned Wojie Way site (Block 356, Lot 1.06) to solicit conceptual proposals and qualifications from prospective redevelopers. The RFP asks respondents to propose a senior residence facility and a senior center or a coordinated project that includes both uses.
The resolution establishes an Advisory Evaluation Committee composed of the Mayor, one council member designated by the governing body, the Borough Planner, Borough Attorney and the Borough CFO to review submissions, request clarifications, conduct interviews and recommend a short list. The RFP will require a $5,000 application fee and states explicitly that conditional designation is not final redevelopment approval; any redevelopment plan must be prepared and adopted under the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq.).
