Pitman council considers DEI Trust to allow committee fundraising

Councilman Uyehara reported that the borough's DEI Committee seeks to establish a trust so it can hold fundraisers to support programming. Administrator McCafferty said other committees have made similar requests and that the borough may request trusts but final approval rests with the Division of Local Government Services (DLGS).
Administrator McCafferty told council a resolution will be prepared for the April 14 meeting to advance the request. The council did not take final action at the March 24 work session and signaled that the DLGS review will determine whether the trust may be established.
