Union Grove ISD approves Elementary B roof bid; later approves roof budget amendment

At its June 12 meeting, the Union Grove ISD Board of Trustees approved a roofing bid for the Elementary B Building and then, following closed session, approved budget amendments that include funding for roof repair.
Trustee Justin Smith moved and Trustee Brian Cox seconded approval of the roofing bid to AVCO Roofing for $108,514; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes list the roofing vendor and the contract amount.
The board later recessed to closed session and, after returning, approved budget amendment #202512 for Elementary roof repair in the amount of $125,000 and budget amendment #202513 for the purchase of property in the amount of $225,000. The minutes record those amendments were approved by a motion from Michael Potter, seconded by Tim Bower, and carried unanimously.
The minutes do not link the roofing contract directly to the later budget amendment in an explicit staff explanation; they record the separate actions and amounts. The roofing bid approval and the budget amendment are both recorded as board actions on June 12, 2025.
