Trustees unanimously approved two appraisal-district voting actions at the Nov. 17 meeting. Vice President Monty Huffman moved, and John Smith seconded, to cast the district’s votes equally among five nominees for the Walker County Appraisal District Board of Directors; the motion carried unanimously with six trustees voting yes.
Separately, Trustee Judy Bishop moved and John Smith seconded to resubmit the district’s votes for the Trinity County Appraisal District board of directors because a name that was intended to be removed remained on the ballot. The minutes record that all votes were divided equally and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting record lists trustees who voted: Hortman, Bishop, Franklin, Searcy, Huffman and Smith.
